School Fees

We have outlined the fee structures for our Early Years, Elementary, Middle and High School curricula below. These fees are applicable for the upcoming academic year.

The tuition includes course fees, all textbooks, workbooks, stationery, select after-school and co-curricular activities and a division yearbook. Other optional fees are also selected for your perusal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Singapore international school fees and International Baccalaureate (IB) school fees in Singapore are generally paid through direct bank transfers and cashier’s checks because of local anti-money laundering legislation. The size of the fee amounts required by Stamford American mean that physical cash payments cannot be accepted.

Stamford American accepts bank and wire transfers as well as credit card payments. Please refer to the payment options document to learn more.

Stamford American International School Singapore fees are paid in one or two installments. They can be paid in full on May 1 or in two semi-annual installments due on May 1 and October 1 of the school year. Other fees are payable upon a student’s acceptance or by May 1, for returning students. Fees for students who join SAIS in the middle of the year will need to be paid immediately. Other installment plans may be offered at the sole discretion of SAIS.

Yes. However, Stamford American may charge an interest rate of up to 1.5% per month for its Singapore American school fees to help offset its financial risks. Checks and other payment instruments delivered to the school after the set due dates will not be considered payments until they are cleared. Other considerations for late payments and unpaid balances may only be accepted at the discretion of the school and Stamford American’s Finance Director.

In addition to tuition fees, a non-refundable application fee payable upon application is required for new students. Successful applications also come with non-refundable enrollment and facility fees. There are also annual technology fees payable at or before the student’s start date.

Academic Field Studies (AFS) fees are required for students who need to travel on school-related field trips. English as an Additional Language (EAL) fees will also be required for students who are assessed to need support with their English language skills. Student Support Department (SSD) fee may also be required for students requires additional support. Other fees that may apply for some students include fees for the optional island-wide door-to-door bus service, Preparatory Course for Secondary School (PCS) fees, and PCS Foundational Academic English (FAE) fees.

Stamford American provides students with iPads or MacBooks as part of its Digital Learning and Technology program. These devices remain the property of Stamford American and the technology fee covers the reasonable expected use of the equipment. The technology fee also covers the human resources needed to maintain the devices, as well as the facilities, software, and hardware required by the student.

Facilities fees cover the expected use of Stamford American’s facilities by a student within a school year. The facility fees are due on May 1 and have to be paid immediately in full if a student joins the school off-cycle.

Yes. All school fees are subject to a GST of 8%. GST is subject to change following the announcement from Singapore Government that GST is increasing to 9% effective from 1 January 2024. For payments received/ invoices issued on or after 1 January 2024, the price is subject to 9% GST. The GST will be reflected on invoices wherever applicable.

Scholarship offers are given at the discretion of Stamford American. When given, the value of scholarships will be deducted from the school fees before other financial aid or concessions are assessed. Scholarships are a privilege and high standards of behavior from both students and parents are expected. Late payment of Stamford American International School Singapore fees may also cause the forfeiture of scholarships.

Refunds and waivers can only be offered under the conditions of clause 2.1 and Schedule D of the Stamford American–Student contract.

Stamford American reserves the right to exclude students with unpaid fees. Excluded students will be considered withdrawn from the school twenty-eight days after exclusion.

Yes. Discounts are available for three or more children, with the younger children receiving the discounts.

Parents may get a 30% discount on enrollment and facility fees for the application of a third child and a 70% discount on the same fees for a fourth child and any subsequent children. A 10% tuition fee discount is available for third children and a 20% discount may be applied for a fourth child as well as any children beyond.

Stamford American’s fees do not cover the cost of mandatory school uniforms. Regular and Physical Education uniform sets and optional school-related items may be purchased at Lim Meng Keng Department Store at Holland Road Shopping Centre, located along Holland Avenue.
