College Admission Representatives

For College Admission Representatives

Welcome to Stamford’s College Counseling Department! Thank you for your interest in the graduates from our school. In a typical year, we welcome some 200 university representatives from around the world, with the majority of our visitors coming from Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, Singapore, the UK, and the USA.

How to schedule a visit

On most school days, we are able to accommodate visits either during our lunch break (12:10pm – 1:00pm). Occasionally, we are able to arrange a late afternoon or evening event for a group of universities travelling together and/or a major information event that you would like to open up to other schools in Singapore.

The busiest time of the school year is season August – October. At this time, we may have to request you to share your visit slot with another visiting university if we have multiple requests to visit on the same day. We appreciate your willingness to be flexible!

To arrange to visit our school, please contact College Counselor, Rin Kim at Haelin.Kim@sais.edu.sg

Traveling to Stamford

It is possible to get to our school on the Singapore MRT (subway). It takes about 15 minutes of travel time from Orchard Road MRT to to Woodleigh MRT (purple line) including the 5 minute walk to our campus.

If you wish to pre-book a taxi, you can call the major taxi companies at 6552 1111 or 6555 8888, or feel free to use Grab or Gojek apps. A taxi ride from the downtown area to Stamford will cost you about S$10-20 or US$7-15 depending on what time of day you are travelling. If you are tightly scheduled with visits to several schools you may wish to charter a car and driver for the day. Two companies offering hourly, half day and full day bookings are Limousine Cab and Limo Taxi. These can be booked online in advance. If you are traveling in a small group, hiring a taxi van for the day can be less expensive than paying for two taxis.

Arriving on Campus

Please bring a photo ID other than your passport with you since you will be asked to exchange an ID card for a visitor’s pass at the security gate. The security office will contact College Counseling department to let them know that you have arrived.

Visiting other schools in Singapore

It is usually possible for university representatives to visit one or two other schools in the day, in addition to Stamford. Here is a link about other local and International schools in Singapore.
