The first in the series of our Music Ensemble Program concerts for the year, this has also been the first opportunity for the students to perform in front of live audience in two and a half years! The pandemic has made it difficult for us to have live performances, so having these concerts is significant in bringing live music back to Stamford. It was also a challenge for our students to have sufficient practice in preparation for the concerts, so kudos to all our performers!
They included the Woodleigh Suzuki Ensemble, Grade 5 Class Bands, Beginner String Ensemble, Grade 4 & 5 Popular Band, Intermediate String Ensemble and Elementary Choir. They performed a wide range of music such as Minuet 2 in G major by J.S. Bach, the traditional folk song, Chan Mali Chan and more contemporary pieces such as How Far I’ll Go by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Hall of Fame by The Script.
