We encourage families to read this information carefully and speak with their Admissions Manager if they have any questions.
Student Contracts
Stamford American International School is required to have a completed contract in place for every student before enrollment is finalized. For students under 18, the contract must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
The Stamford Student Contract is an important legal agreement between the school and the family. A student is not considered fully enrolled until the completed contract and Advisory Note have been submitted online to Stamford.
Families should read the contract carefully before signing and make sure they understand and are comfortable with its terms. If anything is unclear, we recommend seeking clarification before completing the agreement.
The contract covers key information including course details and fees, the refund policy, Fee Protection Scheme, medical insurance, governing law and dispute resolution.

Dispute Resolution
If the Student and the PEI cannot resolve a dispute through the PEI’s prescribed methods, they may seek redress via the SSG Mediation-Arbitration Scheme, the Small Claims Tribunals (SCT), or their own legal counsel.
Stamford will respond to written feedback or complaints within 21 days of receipt.
Fee Protection
In compliance with the regulations under the Private Education Act 2009, course fees paid by students are protected in the form of fee protection schemes and fee collection caps. If a PEI is unable to continue operating, the protection scheme protects the unconsumed course fees paid by students while the fee protection caps limit the amount of course fees that the PEI had collected at any one time. Fees are considered protected only once they are paid to Stamford American International School.
For more information on the Fee Protection Scheme please email finance@sais.edu.sg.
