WHERE THE WORLD IS THE CLASSROOM
Our academic field studies program at Stamford American recognizes that no single element of learning works in isolation. It also demonstrates the importance of taking responsibility for one’s own life journey.
The program – developed in consultation with experiential education market-leaders JUMP! – aims to develop ecologically literate, compassionate and engaged leaders. Grouped before field trips to prepare and lead their own experience, the students learn to build capacity to innovate, create and lead in a real-life environment, all the while linked to their academics.
Exploring the academic curriculum within fascinating and often challenging environments beyond the classroom, this progressive experience, commencing from Grade 4 and concluding at graduation, develops efficacy, self-belief, leadership and communication. All qualities key to success both academically and beyond the educational environment.
