Stamford’s Month of Giving

Stamford had its Month of Giving last December, which saw several of our Middle & High School students, parents and staff getting involved in charitable initiatives:

– The Guide Dogs CCA raised $1,812 for Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd

– Trash to Flash and the HS BTEC raised $724 for Community Chest at our Christmas Marketplace.

– 10th Grader Abril’s Bake Sale for a Cause raised over $200 for Causes for Animals – Singapore

– The Peer Tutoring Club donated 27 large boxes of educational materials to underprivileged families here in Singapore through Methodist Welfare Services, an organization supported by Community Chest.

– Our PTA passed on gifts of snacks and appliances to migrant workers through It’s Raining Raincoats

– 8th Grader Elenais donated a huge box of clothing which was shipped to a village in Cambodia.

– The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation campaign saw many new toys collected for the Boy Scouts of America’s yearly initiative.

Not only have we achieved overwhelming response from the community, but we are also forging closer partnerships with ItsRainingRaincoats Raining Raincoats and Community Chest Singapore, 2 organisations we are proud to be working with.
