Academic Board Responsibilities
The Academic Board is responsible for ensuring the academic quality and rigour of the School's courses. Its key responsibilities include:
a. Developing academic policies and procedures to ensure academic quality and rigour.
b. Ensuring the appropriateness of course content, module or subject duration, and course entry and graduation requirements.
c. Approving the deployment of teachers in accordance with SWDA requirements.
d. Facilitating the implementation of and compliance with academic policies and procedures.
e. Reviewing academic policies and procedures at least once every two years.
f. Establishing academic subgroups, where appropriate, to oversee the academic rigour of courses across different disciplines or subject areas.
Examinations Board Responsibilities
The Examination Board is responsible for ensuring the integrity, fairness and proper conduct of examinations and assessments. Its key responsibilities include:
a. Developing examination and assessment policies and procedures.
b. Ensuring the security of examination question papers and answer scripts.
c. Ensuring the proper conduct of examinations and assessments.
d. Defining and overseeing the duties and responsibilities of invigilators and markers.
e. Conducting moderation of examination and assessment marks.
f. Handling student appeals relating to examinations and assessments.
