Stamford Connects Episode 5: What Can I Do To Give My Child The Gift Of Culture And Languages?

1 Start 2 Complete

Welcome to our new webinar series - Stamford Connects - for interested parents who want to know more about international schools in Singapore. We will be adding a new topic every 2 months. Do join us and connect!

For children who speak more than one language, the world truly is their oyster.

Learning to speak another language improves listening skills, increases focus and leads to greater cognitive agility, especially problem solving and creativity, resulting in better educational development. It also opens up the ability to work and study overseas in a more immersive and authentic way, providing a deeper understanding of different cultures and oneself in the process.

When students participate in high quality language programs, they have the opportunity to become truly bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural - which, in the era of globalization, is quickly becoming a necessity.

Providing students these opportunities requires discipline, long term commitment, and participation in superior educational programs. At Stamford American International School, we have a variety of programs that seek to support and develop students' second language acquisition.

It really is a gift!

Join us on Friday October 30, 2020 from 12-1pm SGT to learn more about our language programs. Moderated by Dr. Xiomara Cruz, Elementary Deputy Principal and Bilingual Coordinator, hear from three of our world class educators and discover how you can give your child the gift of language and culture.
