Welcome To Stamford American

At Stamford American there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to learning

Our vision is to inspire students from pre-nursery through to G12 to create their unique future academically, socially and as ecologically literate citizens in our culturally diverse world. With the opportunity to choose a sought-after education pathway, we help your child realize their academic ambitions.

A word from Dr. Mark Wenzel, Superintendent

“Welcome to Stamford American International School! I love being superintendent here because of our deep focus on belonging and the commitment to our students I witness on campus every day. We are a big school, with the heart of a small school. Community matters, and we celebrate our students and staff for exhibiting four core values: integrity, ingenuity, courage, and compassion. We talk a lot about these values, provide examples both at school and in the curriculum, and celebrate when we see them in action.

Thank you for your interest in our school! I think you’ll be impressed with the culture of care and high academic standards your children experience here. Our commitment is to develop a deep sense of belonging, value and connectedness for every student who passes through our gates – as we inspire them to think, write, design, compose and collaborate on the road to discovery and life success.”

What our Parents & Students say

“There are so many opportunities for my kids – the Math Olympiads, MUN and recently they hosted NASA, along with concerts, drama productions and much more. The teachers, leadership and superintendent to the principal’s of each division and the deputies are so approachable. They will stop and have a conversation about my children at any point. I know most people say, the teachers really care about the children but I have never seen the level of genuine concern and care for their wellbeing as I have in the leadership in this school.”

Mangla Sachdev

“A wonderful environment coupled with a dedicated team of infant care teachers give Elisha the perfect conditions to grow up. She has settled in so well since she arrived at the center at the age of 5 months much to the efforts by all the teachers. Heartfelt appreciation for all the love and care showered on our little angel.”

Joshua Wong

“I will miss the community that SAIS provides, such as an open and international environment, in which all students and teachers are welcomed. A life lesson that I will carry with me is that Stamford taught me to be open-minded and has given me a great appreciation for many cultures. Having the option of multiple academic pathways, provided me with the choice of what I want to study, which allowed me to choose which pathway would be best for the countries that I was planning on applying for universities.”
