Stamford hosts Amcham's Annual Corporate Community Day

Published by Admin

Stamford American with Cognita, Camp Asia and Real Madrid Foundation Technical Academy joined Amcham’s annual Corporate Community Day to host an event on campus at Stamford. This corporate social responsibility initiative is an annual event in which employees of U.S. organizations based in Singapore volunteer to give back to the community. This year saw over 70 companies and organizations host events across Singapore with the help of over 2,000 volunteers, benefiting over 8,000 beneficiaries.

As part of the event on 17 October, Stamford American hosted kids from Beyond Social Services for a fun-filled afternoon. The U.S Ambassador Kirk Wagar and volunteers were on hand to greet and cheer on the children. They had a great time learning how to make pizza along with Head Super Chef Tim Ong before heading to the soccer field to learn some soccer tips and tricks with coaches from Real Madrid Foundation Technical Academy. Children headed home with goodie bags including their very own soccer ball and Real Madrid souvenirs!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers and supporters and we look forward to Corporate Community Day 2016!
