Head Coach Joy Koh joins Stamford after having built a successful Gymnastics Program at UWCSEA East. Through her leadership, the team there has won Gold medals in the Team Championship, Individual All-Around, and all Individual Events at various levels at the annual SEASAC Championships annually since its first year.
Prior to UWCSEA East, Coach Joy coached in Australia for three and a half years and also at the prestigious International Gymnastics Camp in USA alongside World & Olympic Champions Nastia Liukin, Paul Hamm and Danell Leyva during the summer of 2011.
In addition to her coaching in the gym, Coach Joy has also been an International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) accredited International Judge for Singapore since 2003. She has judged at the Southeast Asian Games (2003 Hanoi, 2007 Korat, 2011 Palembang, 2015 Singapore), Commonwealth Games (2014 Glasgow), Asian Games (2006 Qatar, 2010 Guangzhou), World Cup (2007 Shanghai, 2013 Anadia), and World Championships (2011 Tokyo, 2013 Antwerp, 2014 Nanning).
She is currently the highest qualified FIG Coach (Level 3) and FIG Judge (Cat II) in Singapore and is passionate about the development of Gymnastics in the country. She has served on the committee of Singapore Gymnastics and holds coaching and judging workshops for the National Sport Association. Coach Joy believes in lifelong continual learning and also holds trainer certifications in Crossfit (Level 1), Crossfit Gymnastics (Level 1) and Yoga Alliance (200hr).
Coach Joy is very excited to be developing budding gymnasts at Stamford and to share her love for the sport with the students here.
Head Coach Eric Boucharin is a 5-time Olympic coach, coaching gymnasts from Spain (1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, 2000 Sydney) and France (2004 Athens, 2016 Rio) to the Olympics! He has been an International Coach for 35 years, and recognized by the FIG (Federation of International Gymnastics ) as 1 of only 7 International Experts from around the World to be a Master Coach at a FIG Academy Level 1, 2, and 3 (highest).
He brings a vast amount of International Level Gymnastics to our team, where he will be the Head Coach and lead our Program across all the different pathways
Coach Natasha (Tasha for short) started her journey with gymnastics at the age of 6 and continued on to join local and international competitions representing her school, club and then the Philippines when she joined the national team from 2008-2010.
Her love for gymnastics then led her to Cheerleading when she went to University where she became the Captain of their Cheer Squad from 2012-2013. Through different competitions, this opened the opportunity for her to join Team Pilipinas Cheerleading and represented the country in the 2013 Southeast Asian Cheerleading Open (SEACO) and placed first for the co-ed division.
After graduating she went into the line of fitness becoming an operations manager and coach for CrossFit and later on competing locally and internationally. Combining gymnastics and fitness, she also taught modules on handstand and gymnastics to crossfitters and fitness enthusiast.
She is at present an accredited Level 1 FIG WAG Coach.
Coach Audrey Munoz joins us from the Philippines where she competed internationally for her country from 2005 - 2010. In this time, she amassed countless medals in National and International competitions and reached the pinnacle when she became the National Champion in 2009 and 2010, before retiring from the sport.
She then poured herself into Cheerleading when she went to University and rose through the ranks to become Captain of the Varsity Pep Squad from 2014-2015. Her Squad participated in many Cheerleading and Cheerdance competitions, with the highlight of her career being 2nd Runner-Up at the 6th Cheerleading World Championships in the Team Cheer Mixed Category.
Audrey holds a Bachelor of Sports Science from the University of the Philippines, where she wrote her College Thesis "Exploring factors influencing early retirement of elite Filipino female gymnasts".
After graduating from University, Audrey joined Trisports Solutions Inc, a Triathlon events company where she was in charge of sales and marketing. At the same time, she started coaching at Club Gymnastica, the club she started her very own gymnastics journey with.
