Sarah Johnson

 

Sarah Johnson joined SAIS as an art teacher for Grades 1-7. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Textiles in the United Kingdom, graduating with a first class honors, and she also received the prestigious ‘Innovative Textiles Award’ presented by Digetex Bespoke Interior Design http://www.digetex.com/collection/Sarah-johnson.html. Miss Johnson then went on to pursue her Postgraduate certificate in education. She is also trained in the PYP and MYP visual arts curriculums.

 

Since being in Singapore Miss Johnson's artwork has been exhibited at The Aseana Gallery at Clarke Quay, and she also took part in the Surface 1⁰22 textiles exhibition at La Salle University. Most recently she worked on a charity art project working with art completed by local primary students which she then manipulated into a final art piece that was auctioned off for charity.

 

When not at SAIS Miss Johnson finds enjoyment working with fine art textiles and was involved in a textiles exhibition at La Salle University in Singapore. She is also a keen netball player, competing in leagues and tournaments around Asia.
