  1. How do I join the PTA?

Membership to the PTA is automatic with your child’s enrollment at Stamford.

  1. How can I help with the PTA?

You can volunteer your time or talents with one of our committees or in the classroom helping teachers

  1. When are PTA meetings?

Meetings are held monthly during the school year, usually the second Wednesday of the month.

  1. How do I make a suggestion at a meeting?

At monthly meetings you can motion for new business or submit your motion prior to the meeting.

  1. What is the student uniform? How do I get one?

See the uniform section of the Handbook or website. Uniforms are available for purchase at Lim’s Department store.

  1. How do I order food or take-away lunch form the school cafeteria?

Sodexo is the Stamford food provider.  You can order meals for your child on a monthly basis. See this month’s menu.

  1. Who do I talk to if I have a concern regarding my child?

Any issues concerning your child should first be referred to the classroom teacher. For additional information, please reference the  Handbook.   

  1. What does a Room Parent do?

A Room Parent is a liaison between the classroom teacher and class parents.  Room Parents work with the classroom teacher to plan activities for the class and assist in the classroom if needed. There should be a Room Parent assigned to each class.

  1. How can Stamford help ease my transition from my home country?

We have a list of Country Ambassadors who can offer tips and assist in your transition to Singapore life. Country Ambassadors are happy to help you find those favorite items from your home country or simply to share experiences with when you first arrive to Singapore.
