Grade 4 SAIS Design Project winners!

Posted in Stamford News by Kate Reynolds on 09 December 2011

Grade 4 completed an inquiry into the ways in which we discover and express our ideas, concentrating on the use of words and images and how they affect the way we think, feel and act.

In visual Art students inquired into the use of symbols and imagery in logos. Learning how logos are a form of persuasion and communication, using intelligent imagery and colors to promote products and companies.

Grade 4 were transformed into Graphics Designers commissioned to design a new logo for SAIS. They were given a design brief to create a new exciting logo for SAIS, using the Text and images which represent our school and its community. They also had the opportunity to use the Sketchbook application on the IPad to understand the elements and principles of designing using technology. There were a number of great designs but we've highlighted the top entries here including our winners: Jin, Justin and Olivia whose work will be displayed in Reception. Well done Grade 4!
